Favorite Summer Jeans
Anyone else love denim? Denim jeans, denim shorts, denim skirts, denim dresses…I’m all in! Living in Colorado, I can wear jeans year-round. I know that people in other parts of the country might not be able to, but that’s what denim shorts are for. Below, you can find all of my favorite summer jeans and jean shorts!

1) White Denim Shorts
Before I get to the jeans, let’s talk about jean shorts. I share everything you need to know about wearing denim shorts over 40 in this post. It’s a must-read! Finding white shorts over 40 is even harder than finding regular denim shorts. But this pair by Agolde is great! They’re super high rise (11”) so you feel secure and the inseam is 4 5/8”, which is longer than most shorts. They’re comfortable, don’t ride up, and pair beautifully with any tee, top, or blouse. I took these on our recent trip to Mexico…if you want to see the rest of what I wore, check out this post!

2) Moussy Vintage Packard Shorts
I LOVE Moussy Vintage jeans and have quite a few pairs. So when I saw that they had denim shorts, I knew I had to try them. And…I love them! They’re comfortable but the denim is stiff enough to make you feel secure. The length (3” inseam) and high rise (10”) are great. And I love the distressing and raw hem. They also have plenty of room around the leg so that they have that looser looking fit.

3) Agolde Denim Shorts
These were my go-to denim shorts last summer and I will definitely keep wearing them this summer! This brand, Agolde, is by the same designer as 7 For All Mankind and Citizens of Humanity…both amazing denim brands! These shorts give me a 90s vibe I love, but with a twist. I love the minimal distressing, raw hem, and high waist. These are not your average high waist shorts…they have a 12.25” rise! So you feel very secure and tucked in. The inseam is 4” so they’re not too short and completely cover your bum.

4) Paperbag Waist Shorts
This exact pair of paperbag waist shorts by Marissa Webb is sold out, but I linked a very similar pair by the same designer. I LOVE these shorts SO much! Marissa Webb pants and shorts just fit and fall so nicely. The details are always very thoughtful and edgy too.
5) White Flare Jeans
White flare jeans are a must-have for summer. This exact pair is very old and unfortunately sold out. But I love this pair by Hudson and this pair by DL1961. The DL1961 pair is on my capsule wardrobe and was a best seller in April. If you haven’t checked out the curated capsule wardrobe I put together for you all, you should definitely check it out here.
6) Distressed Slim Straight Jeans
I love these distressed, relaxed-fit jeans by AG. They’re a high-rise (11.5”) slim straight-leg silhouette which means they’re roomier throughout the leg but not so baggy that you lose shape. Don’t shoot the messenger but there are rumors that skinny jeans are out of style…I share my thoughts on the matter in this YouTube video.
7) Moussy Vintage Cropped Jeans
Moussy is known for its more relaxed fit denim. These skinny jeans have minimal distressing and are a looser fit, which I love. They’re also cropped…perfect for petites! Even though it’s a relaxed fit, you can tell that the denim is really high quality and a little stiff so you feel secure.

8) Baggy Jeans
Like it or not, baggy jeans are very on-trend right now. I styled a few pairs in this video. This pair is the Moussy Vintage Ashley’s wide-leg straight jeans. You can see how different they look rolled up vs. straight. These jeans have minimal distressing and raw hem. They’re super comfortable and high rise. I know they’re a little pricey but with this new trend becoming more and more popular, there are tons of baggy jean options out there for less.
9) Moussy Vintage Lomita Jeans
Surprise, surprise…another pair of MV jeans! Did I mention it’s my favorite denim brand? This pair is also a wide straight leg style but it’s a lighter wash and has a little more distressing. They keep coming in and out of stock so if you see your size, grab them!
10) Dark Wash Skinny Jeans
Last but certainly not least…dark wash skinny jeans. A pair of basic skinny jeans are a must-have no matter what season it is. And this Rag & Bone pair is one of my go-to favorite pairs of jeans.
