The Original Blue Jeans
1873. That’s when Levi’s invented “waist overalls” … tough pants for the working man… also known as blue jeans. Perhaps, it’s no surprise that the iconic brand worn by the likes of Marilyn Monroe, to Marlon Brando…even Albert Einstein, is still going strong. Personally, I’m a big fan and here’s why:
Levi’s are also sustainable. They use less water to manufacture their clothes. They grow cotton crops that benefit both farmers and the environment. They are high quality and retain their shape. You don’t have to worry about throwing on a pair and then lamenting over how baggy they are a few hours later. And, in today’s world of $200+ dollar blue jeans, they are also VERY affordable…typically under $100!!!
Today, I’m sharing three pairs of Levi jeans … all from JCPenney …all under $70…that I think you will love.

#1 | Levi’s Mile High Super Skinny Jeans
I am sharing three different styles of Levi’s that I think you are going to love…starting out with some SUPER high skinnies… called the Mile High Super Skinny Jeans! These are almost ribcage high with an 11-inch rise! My kind of high-rise!
They give you major coverage around the tummy so you feel tucked in and secure. They also lift and shape your bum to make it look amazing!
The sweater I’m wearing is ribbed and fitted. But it also has some pretty pleats at the shoulders that give it a subtle puff shoulder look.
My sleek booties are sold out, but I linked similar, affordable options.

#2 | Levi’s 711 Skinny Ankle Jeans
The second pair is for all my petite ladies. These jeans are ankle length…and absolutely perfect for those of you who are 5’4″ and under. These ankle skinnies has an undone hem, which is an interesting detail and very subtle distressing. It’s the perfect amount for those that just want to try it, but not go all-in on the rips.

#3 | Levi’s 501 Modern Fit Tapered Jeans
And, the last pair I wanted to show you is a more modern, baggier silhouette… the Modern Fit Tapered Jeans. These jeans are roomier through the thighs and then begin to taper from the knee down towards the ankle. This leg style looks great with booties! I love all of the distressing too. These will definitely throw off a cool-mom-vibe.

I love the fit of the Levis. Unfortunately they strEtched in the crotch at the bottoM across the lEg. I still love them but am disappointed with the jeans material doing this.
So sorry you have a pair that didn’t work for you. That is a bummer. I hope you don’t give up on the brand as they are traditionally really great! Erin xo

Hey Erin. Thanks for all the great info and support! i love my high rise levi’s! One thing i hate about high rise though is they never stay high rise on me. they slip down through the day and my skinny-fat lumps and bumps make thier appearance again…(le sigh). any suggestions here other than suspenders? lol. i have invested in some pretty high end jeans and same problemo.
also SEPARATELY, -non jeans subject related, belongs in health- have you by chance investigated any of these woman specific diet plans that deal with hormone CATEGORIES? Wow… I’ve never heard of that. Are they the right size? Is your waist small in comparison to your legs? Maybe you need the waist tailored.
