I’m not suggesting that shorts are appropriate for every office because in most cases, they are not. I’m also not suggesting that shorts are right for everyone.
But, if you think it’s appropriate for your work environment or upcoming event, I say… GO FOR IT! It’s unexpected, fresh and modern!
STYLING NOTES:

My suggestion is to break it up a little. Try a striped blazer, with a solid color pair of shorts. Remember to make sure your shorts are as dressy as your blazer. Add some luxe accessories and fab shoes… and you are chic and sophisticated in your shorts. You can also skip the strappy heels, and go with a pump instead for a more classic touch.
Another great way to go… longer shorts (aka Bermuda shorts). These are a great office option.
When in doubt try a shorts suit of solids. Red, Navy, Pink, Black, White…all of these colors would look fabulous as a shorts suit.
