This is the dress that I wore recently to emcee a charity fashion show. I love animal prints, but you have to be really careful when selecting yours. Animal prints can go…real tacky… real quick! You have to select a print and a piece that looks luxe. And, luxe doesn’t mean, expensive.
My dress is from Target…”Rodarte for Target”. It was around $50. I’ve given you a few choices below to help you take the guesswork out of it. These are all perfect, sophisticated choices for your next dinner or cocktail party.

ANIMAL PRINT DRESS OPTIONS
1) Here is a really cool, modern option for a cocktail party by BCBG. I really love the high/low hemline and the black band to highlight your waist. This dress is interesting, eye-catching and sexy! (Click on the image to see more detail.)
2) Sequin, Zebra Mini Dress by Bailey 44 – I really like this one also. It’s definitely modern and sexy. I think the sequins make it more cocktail worthy and a step up from your regular LBD. Word of caution, this cut of sleeves isn’t for everyone. If you are not loving your upper arms, this will not be your favorite. This cut can be great for women with broad shoulders! 3) Color-blocked, Animal Print, Mini Dress by Black Halo. This one will definitely make you look skinnier with the black slimming panels on the sides! I also think the print is chic. I love the 3/4 sleeve. I would pair this with a sexy ankle boot instead of a T-strap sandal. (Click image to see more detail.)
Pair dress with a sexy ankle boot, or pump. Patterned tights will keep you looking long and lean!
Here is a more versatile pair of black, ankle boots
Pumps… Vince Camuto Signature “Peony” Pump – love the gold accent on the heel, and the embossed toe
Tights…by Wolford.
A little bling… You can always stack some of these sparkly bangles for your cocktail party look or formal event look for a modern touch.
Bling for your ears..
Now, go ahead and unleash your animal instincts…!
Love the dress!
