I really enjoyed this year’s show! I thought Ellen was funny and quietly entertaining. She had an ease about her delivery which took some of the stuffiness away from the awards show. My favorite line was when she said, “The nominees have collectively made over 1,400 films, and you’ve gone to a total of six years of college.” Cracked me up!
Okay, enough about the show, and onto the absolute highlight of the Oscars for me…FASHION!! There were many standouts this year. I think Lupita killed it again. Cate stunned as always. Kate Hudson looked UH-Mazing (my favorite of the night). J-Law in her BEST Dior yet, looked gorgeous!I loved the art deco dresses worn by Lady Gaga (minus the scarf) and Kristen Chenoweth. Amy and Sandra looks classic and beautiful. And, really appreciated the ‘edgy elegant’ look Emma Watson wore. The trends were blush/nude toned dresses, and LOTS of texture (see Cate Blanchett’s Armani dress)
