Wondering if you can wear white after Labor Day? The answer is…YES! You do not have to put it away anymore! If you need some white outfit inspiration, I’m sharing two looks below (one that I shot at the gorgeous and awe-inspiring Grand Canyon.)
DRESS | BOOTS (SOLD OUT) | SIMILAR BOOTS | SUNGLASSES
This first look is this gorgeous white dress by Alexis. If you live in a warmer climate and it’s still super hot, this dress is perfect! It’s sold out in most sizes so I linked some similar options below! This dress is pretty versatile. You can wear it with booties like I did. Or you can dress it up with heels and pretty statement earrings and be ready for an event. Here is another white dress option for less!
I’m wearing the LWD with these western-inspired boots by Saint Laurent. I got them on major sale, and unfortunately, they’re sold out now, but I linked some very similar ones! And some for less here and here.
But, the REAL star of this outfit is the jaw-dropping scenery! The Grand Canyon was so amazing, it’s hard to put its beauty into words. I hope to share a recap post soon!

CARDIGAN | TEE | WHITE JEANS | NECKLACE | EARRINGS
It’s already cooler here in Telluride so I’m definitely ready for sweater weather! This all-white outfit is going to be a go-to look this fall! I’m wearing my favorite Madewell white tee with white skinny jeans. (I did an entire video on styling white skinny jeans here.) Next, I added this chunky, oversized cardigan by Free People. If you haven’t seen my video on layering you should check that out! I finished off the look with these sweet white mules by Louise et Cie, and one of my favorite belts!

Tips for Wearing White After Labor Day
Mix Fabrics
When wearing white, the fabrics you wear are key! Thicker, nicer fabric will be more forgiving than thin fabrics (which will show every bump). Mixing textures is also a great idea to add depth and interest to the look. For example, wearing wool or denim pants with a fuzzy sweater.
For post-Labor Day, when temps are chillier, look for winter fabrics like knits, denim and wool. If you want to wear a summery dress like I am above… simply add fall booties and maybe even a cardigan or moto jacket over the dress and voila… you are good!
Wear Neutral Accessories
Accessories will help break up all white. Try neutrals like I’m wearing above: gold hoop earrings, a simple pendant necklace, and dainty choker necklace. I don’t have a bag with either of these looks but if I did, it would be a very classic neutral handbag! OR add pops of color like bold red, blue or green.
Volume Proportion
Consider volume proportion. This is more of a reminder and general styling tip, but don’t forget that if you’re wearing a chunky sweater like I did above, you should wear skinny jeans to keep the lower half slimmer. If you’re wearing wide leg pants, keep the top or sweater a little more fitted.
