Maxi Dress Two Ways
I’ve mentioned that I’m craving a tropical getaway from all the cold weather here in Colorado. Luckily, I’m headed to the Bahamas soon! But for those of you who are still stuck in the cold and itching to pull out your spring and summer styles…you can! If you have that beautiful maxi dress you can’t wait to wear, I’m showing you how you can style it now during chilly weather, and later for spring/summer!

Free People Lily of the Valley Maxi Dress
First, I want to talk about this gorgeous Free People maxi dress from Verishop. The soft, beautiful, peachy color is just perfect for spring. It has tie shoulder straps so you can adjust the length… and it’s so breezy. I mean, you take a few steps and the wind just picks up the dress and creates such eye-catching movement. You can see the dress in action in my video at the bottom of this post. The dress does have a deep v-neckline and low cut sides so I would consider wearing a pretty lace cami underneath for added coverage. I would also wear this over your bathing suit as a chic cover-up. I’ll definitely be sporting this beauty on the beach!

Styling a maxi dress for chillier temps is as easy as can be! Simply throw on a pretty top underneath, a chic pair of booties and a faux leather moto jacket. I went with an elegant white blouse, white moto jacket, and white booties but you can easily wear brown, gray, taupe or whatever you have!

Wear Later
For spring and summer, simply throw on your favorite sandals and you’re ready! You can also add some fun accessories like a necklace, floral headband, and chic sunglasses. As you can see, I’m wearing a cami underneath. But this maxi is going to be perfect over a swimsuit on the beach as well!
