We all have that one pair of jeans in our closet that fit well and seem like they go with everything! A solid pair of blue jeans, no matter what the cut, really can be the perfect clothing piece in your closet. But sometimes it can be hard to turn that reliable pair of casual jeans into something a little dressier. I’m sharing a few cute outfit ideas to help you dress up your favorite basic jeans. Whether you’re planning a night on the town, brunch with the ladies, or even date night, there’s no reason to think you can’t incorporate your favorite jeans!

High Waisted Jeans With A Crop Top
Crop tops are very on-trend this season and you can easily complete the look with a basic pair of jeans! Wearing a crop top over 40 can be tricky and I don’t usually do it. But if you have super high waisted jeans it can look really cute!
I shared more details about these amazing white jeans and the rest of the outfit in this post.
Make Your Basic Jeans Pop With a Blazer
This outfit is my style uniform! I love wearing a blazer with jeans. Blazers are a no brainer when it comes to dressing up any casual outfit. With the right blazer, you can take a basic pair of jeans from a one to a ten in an instant!
I shared more about this outfit and the gorgeous blazer in this post.
Sneakers and Distressed Denim
Okay – so this is definitely more of a casual look, but still a great way to dress up your favorite distressed denim! I know many of you don’t like rips in your jeans but I love distressed denim! Pair some ripped denim with a basic, soft button-down or tee and some sneakers for a super easy, basic look! This cool white hat is on MAJOR sale here! Reminds me of Olivia Pope from the TV show, Scandal.
The Work from Home Vibe
Especially now that most of us are still working from home, wearing jeans while you work is super easy! Throw on a cute top like the one I’m wearing from Express and you’re set!
Just Add Leather
It’s no secret that you can dress up any basic denim look with leather accessories. This outfit idea looks sharp at any time of the year, but I really love it for the fall! Here I’m wearing a light gray wash, straight-leg jean by Rag & Bone. I really love the ankle length on these, which is great for showing off a nice pair of boots.
Oversized Half Tucked Sweater and Pumps
This is the comfiest way to dress up any denim! I’m a huge fan of the oversized sweater look and I think it looks so cute with a pair of high-rise jeans. You can pull off this look with pretty much any jeans and sweater in your closet!
