Outfit Without Jeans
In case you haven’t noticed… I kinda love wearing jeans. Yep. Total denim addict over here. Hi, I’m Erin and I’m addicted to wearing jeans. It’s an essential part of my style uniform: jeans, tee, and a blazer or leather jacket. But, here’s the thing, you gotta mix it up… sometimes, right??
So… if you are looking for stylish outfit ideas with jeans alternatives, this is THE post for you!! Just keep scrolling…

#1 – Wide Leg Pants & Tee
Do you remember this post where I featured this sneaky outfit that feels like pajamas? I also broke down what you need for the perfect loungewear outfit. I want my loungewear looks to take me from couch to curb in seconds. These pants by ATM are next-level comfortable, but also (and perhaps most importantly) uber chic. They have a stretchy fold-over waistband, they’re high-waisted (very flattering), and the material is so soft like your softest cotton t-shirt. The waistband itself is also super wide so these pants are great for hiding a tummy. These are the perfect pants to wear for travel, lounging at home or popping out for a few errands, and sleeping (yes, they’re that comfortable!) I styled them with a $39 puff sleeve tee that’s a great basic-with-a-twist! Throw on a pair of comfy slides and you have the perfect comfy look.

#2 – Culottes & Blouse
Pants that look like a gorgeous a-line skirt..? Yes, please! These culottes are SO chic and flattering and much more versatile than you might think. You can easily wear this look to the office or out to dinner. I love that this pair is super fitted around the waist and very high rise, which really helps to define the waist. I styled the pants with a gorgeous Ulla Johnson blouse that has feminine puff sleeves, a subtle print in a classic black and white color combo, and can easily be styled with skirts, shorts, or jeans!

#3 – Joggers & Jacket
Continuing on with a more athleisure-inspired look. I think even the European women could roll with these chic black joggers! I styled them above with a sporty racing stripe jacket, but you could easily dress these up too. I’ve had these Norma Kamali joggers for years and featured them multiple times on the site! They’re so soft they feel like pajamas, but they look luxe and chic enough to wear running errands, to the grocery store, or even just answering your front door. They are PERFECT if you are petite. (I’m 5’4″ for reference.)
If you’re looking for more modern loungewear ideas, I’ve shared some favorites here and here.

#4 – Faux Leather Leggings & Sweater
Another jean alternative is…leggings! I know that many women over 40 don’t like to wear leggings but I’ve shared some really helpful styling tips in this post. You’ve probably seen these Spanx leggings on Instagram since they are VERY popular. I’ve also featured them a couple of times here on the site! I love the faux leather look. It’s super edgy. These run long so if you’re petite, get the petite version in your normal size.
I’m wearing a pre-layered sweater by Brochu Walker that was a heavy hitter for me last year with the leggings. Make sure you wear something that is long enough to cover your bum when you wear leggings. These mock-croc black boots add some sexy to the look.
Which of these combos are you going to try? Do you have any of these in your closet already?? Let me know in the comments below!
