I saw this piece in a shop in downtown Boerne, TX and I LOVED it! And, then I looked at the price ($250) …and left the store empty handed. I actually went back to the store two weeks later to buy it, and it was gone.
The store owner said she would get another one, but not until late February. During one of my regular One King’s Lane browsing sessions, I was so excited and surprised to see it again… my sunburst statue!
This time it was $100 less.
So…I scooped it up right away!
I normally keep an orchid plant on my coffee table to add some height and interest, but as you know, plants do not live forever.
This decor piece is not alive, and therefore… much easier and more practical in my day-to-day life.
Plus, isn’t it just so cool and chic? I love it!
Btw, one thing I’ve learned about home decor, do not feel offended by your husband’s reaction.
You have to trust your own instincts.
My husband calls this the porcupine ball.
Another word of caution, keep this ‘porcupine ball’ away from babies/toddlers.
My Bitty is just old enough (almost 3) to handle this bad boy, but if she were any younger, it would definitely be stashed away.
