All kinds of flirting with the course of the hourly and minute arrow are mostly used to mask the usual actions: rewinding – replacing the usual loading of the preserved game and so on. Further, the author went for today Braid : In his game, we are talking about movements in time and space, about meeting with his temporal double and other tricks.
Obviously, not everyone has a desire to rack their heads over such a pseudo -dungeon, therefore a popular topic is more often used as a scenario move. Such, for example, "" Anabiosis: Dream of reason ". And soon he will have a “colleague” – Darkest of Days.
Maxim died, and hell with him
The last time we wrote about Darkest of Days exactly two years ago. This is a “spatio-temporal” shooter, the development of which are the former creators of the virtual casino. Moving in different eras, we change the course of history, fighting during the greatest battles in the history of mankind. The protagonist, soldier Alexander Morris, falls into the future directly from Anetiyatam, one of the key fights of the Civil War in the United States. Literally a moment before his death, a portal is revealed in front of him, into which an unknown savior delays him. There (in the future) Alexander is promptly introduced in the course of the case.
It turns out that a certain organization of Chronotek, exploring the past, came to Cocoa Casino interesting conclusions. As its employees found out, at the most terrible moments of our history (those very Darkest of Days), when thousands of people died, among them were those who should not die each time. Upon learning of this, the Chronotek decided to correct the usual order of things. Their task is to interfere in the past, to save all those who were not destined to die.
It would be logical to assume that our Alexander is just one of these “unfairly deceased”, elected, who was saved. In fact, everything is much more prosaic and more original at the same time. The main character, on the contrary, is one of those who were prepared to fall on the battlefield.
As the developers explain, traveling into the past (and even more so – at the moments of great battles) – the lesson is extremely unsafe. The agents can kill the warriors of past eras or fighters of the opposing organization who disagree with the activities of the Chronotek. In addition, someone's death in the past can change the future of all mankind. That is why suicide bombers are recruited for dirty work. In different eras, agents are looking for those who were supposed to die in the prime of forces, and from them they form the detachments of their operatives. That is, if such a person is killed during the fulfillment of his mission, then for history this will not play a role, so let him die – it is not a pity.

At the time of preparation of this text, the developers only finished alpha testing of the game, therefore they constantly shared other people's impressions with us about their game. According to them, people are constantly enthusiastic about how original and okay comes out their shooter.

So, one of the main tasks of the developers is to reliably reconstruct the key points of history, and then start us with you. First of all, we are talking about the quantity. Opponents, as we said, hundreds. They react sensitively to your presence. They are fighting in the formations. Instead of flat briquettes 5 to 5, consisting of exactly the same models, we can hope for realistic formations composed of different branches of troops. So, for example, on the battlefields of the First World War, in addition to infantry, we will meet machine gunners and artillerymen; In the United States of the War between the North and South, you will encounter horse troops.
So that horses and people do not mix into a well -known heap, artificial intelligence monitors the structure of the formation. He will tell the fighters that it is time, for example, to go on a bayonet attack, and then it will help to portray the confusion of a fierce battle. If the formation still breaks, individual soldiers are trained to hide behind shelters, and when it becomes very tight, especially cowardly fighters will be able to leave the battlefield in, we quote, “horror”.
Do not forget that the player arrives at the place of combat glory not in order to stare at the heroes of the past. His task is to find those who should not die and save them. And here the most interesting.
In the laboratories "Chronoteka", Alexander implants a special device that allows you to recognize the individuals of interest to the corporation. For us, they will be illuminated by blue radiance. Imagine that one American only prepared to destroy the other Americans in a desperate bayonet attack, when you get out of the portal and suggest one of them to move to the future. Developers prepare a lot of curious script scenes, where your wards will argue with you and protest in every possible way against temporary movement. But besides scenario productions, there will also be unplanned contacts with the "rescued". That is, you do not need to think that in the whole battle there is only one key character that needs to be rescued from trouble. In addition to scenario heroes, there will be secondary NPCs, and they may even attack you! They are not required to save them.
Here the futuristic weapons come to the rescue. The hero will be able to let into the crowd of “seekers” – metal spheres with a diameter of 3 millimeters – which will themselves find the right person, they themselves immobilize him with an electric shock and themselves will bring him to the portal! But if the player can’t stand it, all the “seekers” will end with him or just the saved will resist too actively – it may happen that Alexander will suddenly take, and he will finish the one who was supposed to be drawn to the portal.
For this, the game provides a rather elegant “penalty”: the death of a historically important personality causes a surge in a temporary continuum, agents of the enemy organization will immediately find out where you are where you are. The action freezes, the sky is darkened, the portals balls are revealed around, from which employees of the warring corporation are landed. Among the frozen figures of the past, Alexander is proposed to repel the attack, after which he will be given the second attempt.

In all this, of course, intriguing history, only one fact confuses: nothing gives a truly interesting shooter in Darkest of Days. Plot, setting, heroes – everything is fine. But how interesting it will be to shoot – we will find out only after the release. In the meantime, we advise you to pay attention to the game with an amazing name Achron (cm. Its in the current "Faceli"), where its local Darkest of Days occurs on average once every few seconds.
We will wait? A shooter about travel travel where you need to catch fighters on the battlefield and politely explain to them that you do not need to shoot at you. Well, or kill everyone from a rocket launcher.
