Epic Try On

Who Wants to Go in the Dressing Room with Me??

Over the holiday break, my family went back to Texas.
While I was there I had a couple of days to go shopping… so in the video above, I’m sharing what I found with all of you!
I went to Express, Loft, Anthropologie, Nordstrom, J. Crew & Ann Taylor.

This is a GREAT time of year to shop for SALE items… things you’ve had your eye on, but didn’t really want to pay full price for.

Keep reading below or check out the video above to see what I found!

Express

My first stop was Express.
I think their jeans are great…fashion-forward AND affordable.

I tried on these dark wash slightly distressed jeans.
They had a lot of distressed jeans in the store, but I thought these were appropriate for all ages.
Mildly distressed. Not over the top.

I also tried on these black joggers with ruching at the bottom that were really cute!

There was an adorable chevron bag that would make such a great evening bag.
It’s adds a modern pop to your look.

The last thing I wanted to show you were these really cute striped pants.
Express has great basic pieces for the office that are affordable and chic.

Loft

I found a few things I really loved from Loft.
The first was this plaid fringe poncho.
It’s one of those pieces you can throw on in the fall or winter that’s warm and sophisticated.

The next thing I wanted to show you was this knit moto jacket.
It would make a great travel jacket.
It’s made out of soft sweatshirt fabric, but it’s cut like a moto.

Lastly, I loved this chunky infinity scarf.
It has a little sparkle in it too!

Anthropologie

Anthropologie is a great store to go to if you are looking for a special piece rather than for basics.

I bought a pair of Citizen of Humanity jeans that are SUPER high-rise.
They went above my belly button so of course…I absolutely loved them!
Clint Eastwood would be proud.

Nordstrom

Of course, I had to stop at Nordstrom…

I found this really cute Vince Camuto pink and white bubble sleeve sweater.
I think it’s a unique, stand-out sweater at a great price.

The next thing I found was this Blank NYC velvet and faux shearling jacket.
It’s a beautiful slate blue color (the one in the picture on the home page).

J. Crew

At J. Crew I found this gorgeous olive green cargo jacket.
It’s a classic jacket with a modern twist.

Ann Taylor

My last stop was Ann Taylor, and I found this black sparkle tweed jacket.
I love tweed jackets! This one would be great with jeans and pumps… or for the office.

Next, I found a beautiful polka dot pencil skirt that would be amazing for the office!

This pearl flare sleeve top and cropped black pants were so cute, and I liked how it was dressy but a little different.

  1. Love when you do these try-ons! And thanks for the makeup blog yesterday. Quick questions – I love the top you are wearing. Did you purchase it recently? And what lip color do you have on in this video? It looks beautiful with the shirt color! Thanks!

    1. It’s an old Nordy top by Lush. I just checked online and they don’t even have a top in that color anymore. Here is a link to everything they have: https://rstyle.me/n/cwvjtf58an
So sorry! This lip was a combo of Always Red by Sephora (lip stain) with Milani matte blissful layered over it. Every time I layer pink over red, I get questions so if you want a WOW shade, layer it up! Erin xo

  2. These are all great choices-thank you! I also love the necklace you’re wearing in the video. Can you tell where it’s from?

  3. Hi Erin, I love the necklace you’re wearing in today’s Epic Try On video. Where did you get it? Thanks!

  4. Hello. Love the buffalo check piece from Anthro. There is no link and I dont see it on their website. Was it clearance? Thx u

    1. It’s sold out already. Ugh! So sorry. I looked high and low for it. I mentioned sold out via graphic in video, but you probably didn’t catch it if you were listening, rather than watching. Erin xo
