Eileen Fisher
When you buy Eileen Fisher pieces, you can always count on…great fabrics. You know the fabrics will: 1) feel amazing against your skin 2) wash and wear well 3) drape and flatter the body no matter what your body type. Eileen Fisher also understands that some women (that’s you) will invest a bit more to buy high-quality essentials that will last for years and years.
I wanted to share some great, high-quality basics I found at Bloomingdales that I think will be great additions to your wardrobe this season!
Quick note before I dive in, Bloomingdales is having a “friends and family” sale. You will get 25% off select marked items. No code needed! Most of the pieces I’m featuring are on sale.

The Jacket
We must start by talking about this gorgeous, textured, double-breasted jacket! It’s a wow piece for sure. The fit is roomy, more cocoon-like, so it layers beautifully over sweaters. It’s also VERY warm. Not to mention the fabric feels so great against your skin. The jacket is made out of wool and alpaca.
I would suggest sizing down and don’t hesitate on the color. The color is called “dark clay” and it is stunning. There is also a beautiful, similar option in white here. Shop more jackets here.
Accessories
These gold and brown Quay sunglasses have a modern, yet classic feel. If you are looking to add a little excitement to your wardrobe, these are a really affordable way to do it. The earrings are another fun and affordable option to add some pop.

The Fuzzy Sweater
You can grab a cashmere crewneck and that would be a great basic, but personally, I LOVE these super soft, textured sweaters AKA fuzzy sweaters. This black fuzzy sweater is slightly longer than a normal sweater so it easily covers your behind, which is great when wearing leggings or skinny jeans.
Just look at the rich textures in the closeup picture above. It adds SO much to your look!
Western-Inspired Boots!
If you caught my fashion trends video earlier this season, you’ll recall I talked about the western-inspired boots and booties. This pair by Sam Edelman above is a great example. They have the shape and stitching of cowboy boots but in the bootie height! I am also loving the really tall cowboy boots. Have you seen those? Here is an example.

P.S. I do not recommend these booties for snow 😉
The Look
This look is classic, neutral and versatile, but the rich textures, colors, and accessories make it really interesting. Sometimes the simplest looks are the chicest. This outfit has an effortless feel to it. That is mostly due the luxe fit and fabric. Again, I think this is what Eileen Fisher excels at and why her pieces are worth the extra investment.
A quick note about these jeans, I would size down at least one full size. I’m wearing size 4 petite, and I am going to exchange for a 2 petite. (I’m normally a 4 in petite).
The entire look is available at Bloomingdale’s! If you need some special occasion outfit ideas, be sure to check out this post. And, if you would prefer a dress for your holiday soirees, be sure to check out all the Bloomingdale’s dresses here. They have THE BEST dress selection! HUGE thanks to Bloomingdale’s for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
