Creating Perfect Brows
LONG GONE are the days of the wispy thin brows.
The ‘in‘ or perfect brows today are thick, full, and lush.
That’s awesome for those with naturally bushy brows, but what about the rest of us who have light, thin or aging brows?
I am SO excited to team up with Ulta Beauty to share my tips for creating the perfect brows.

1) Use Spooly to Brush the Brows
Give your brows a quick brush with the spooly.
I would brush them upwards.
2) Use the Brow Mapping Tool
To make sure you are plucking in the right places, you can use the brow mapping tool.
(This tool can also help you shape your brows.)
Line up the ‘base’ with the bottom of the nose (see above) and hold tool straight vertically.
Where the tool intersects with your brows… that’s where your brow should begin.
If you want to use the mapping tool to create an arch, you read more about that here.
3) Tweeze
We all have that one piece of unruly eyebrow hair that threatens our brow perfection, or new hair growth that needs to go.
The Brownanza set comes with a tiny pair of tweezers that would also be wonderful for your travel makeup kit.
Resist the urge to overpluck! It can ruin your brows.
4) Use the Eyebrow Pencil
The angle of this Goof Proof Brow Pencil means it is, well… goof proof!
It is almost impossible to mess up with this wonder tool.
I’m in LOVE with this pencil.
5) Highlight the Brows
You don’t even know how much you love and need this High Brow Highlight & Lift Pencil … until you use it.
It is a GAME CHANGER that will really add definition and pop to your brows.
You can also add some to the corners of your eyes to bring out deep set eyes.
6) Use Gel to Keep Your Brows in Place
The Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel will make your brows look more full and keep them in place.
The Brownanza: Blockbuster Brow Set also includes:
– Full size Brow Zings Total Taming & Shaping Kit For Brows
– Full size Ka-BROW! Cream-Gel Brow Color with Brush
Before & After
In the picture above, you can see how much more rich, full and defined my brows look in the top image versus the lower ‘before’ image.
The brows take a little time, but with the right tools, and a few simple steps…
You can have perfect brows that truly frame the face, and make a big impact on your overall look!

Beauty & The Bay
Beauty & the Bay contains some of Benefits’ bestsellers and some of my favorite Benefit products.
I am a HUGE fan of this “They’re Real” mascara (above), which is not only buildable, it also really separates lashes.
The Hoola matte bronzer (above) is highly pigmented, lasts forever, and the brush size and shape make it easy to use as a contouring powder.
The High Beam highlighter adds a subtle, but impactful glow to your cheeks.
You can see the glow in the pictures below.
After… Brownanza + Beauty & the Bay
I’ve always wanted Tea Leoni’s dark brow/blonde hair combo…
I think this look is as close as I will ever come to achieving that.

I have to ask about your eyeliner. How do you do them and what do you use? Gorgeous!!!
Also must ask about your top. So pretty
How I wish I had the brows I complained about in the seventies. Now I know I can at least have the look of thicker brows. Thanks Erin for thinking of everything! ???
Isn’t that always the way? I remember wishing I looked more mature when I was in my early 20’s working as a TV reporter. 😉 Now,I’m pretty happy about my baby face. LOL.
Hi Erin
Thank you so much for posting this Brow “how to”. My fall goal is to darken my eyebrows to go with the touch of darker highlights i just had done in blonde highlighted hair that had gotten too light from the summer. Perfect timing for me! Thanks again!
Ruth
Awesome…thanks so much for sharing, Ruth! I tint my eyebrows sometimes to darken them. Mine get SO light… and I really prefer darker. Erin xo
