In case you haven’t already noticed, ruffles are really on trend at the moment.
You will see everything from ruffled dresses to ruffled tops to ruffled swimsuits!
The lightweight knit I’m wearing in the pictures above has a subtle ruffle detail across the body.
This sweater is great if you just want to try it out.
The ruffle is VERY feminine and flirty and may not be your style.
Ruffle placement should be strategic.
Think about where you want the eye to go or where you want to add a little volume.
For me, my upper body is smaller than my lower body, so placing ruffles on my torso is perfect.

Valentine’s Day Outfit
As much as I’d like to pretend my husband and I go out on a hot date for Valentine’s Day…
The reality is… we both prefer something really low key.
Frankly, just alone time is a luxury that we cherish.
Whether that is in our house… or out for dinner, doesn’t really matter.
Sooo… this is the kind of outfit I’m most likely to wear;
Something soft, feminine and pretty.
I DO pull out the sexy every once in a while, but usually in warmer weather.
I’m too cold this time of year. 😉
Jeans
I paired my peachy ruffled sweater with some wide leg white jeans.
I think wide leg white jeans look fresh and chic year round.
No need to wait until spring to wear them!

Jacket
On my quest to lighten up in 2017, I am wearing a LOT more nudes, blushes, whites and pinks.
I just want to wear light colors.
This jacket is a recent purchase.
It’s very expensive, but I got it on sale.

Handbag
I love the pockets of this bag, which of course you can’t see, but I’ll show you soon on YouTube.
There are two secure pockets on both sides that are PERFECT for your iPhone.
The phone will not fall out and you can reach and grab it very quickly.
It’s a genius pocket system basically…
This bag comes with a crossbody strap so you can be hands-free.
Also I’m loving this off-white “sea salt” color for spring/summer.
