Now that we live in Colorado where we are outside all the time, and we walk a lot more… it’s important for me to have booties I can actually walk in. I love heels as much as the next girl, but you can’t wear high heels walking down a trail or grabbing your kids from the bus stop. You have to have functional footwear.

Low Heel Ankle Boots
There are a few things I look for in an ankle bootie that I plan to walk in:
1) Side Zip: The zipper makes it MUCH easier to get in and out of the bootie
2) Block Heel: A chunky, block heel is much more stable than a stiletto or slim heel
3) Versatility: I want to find a pair that I can wear daily with almost anything

The Look
These boots are really stylish and chic too! I chose to pair them with black because I wanted to show you how great brown and black look together. Don’t be afraid to rock this color combination. My pants are joggers by Norma Kamali, and my black tee can be worn on or off-shoulder. It’s amazing how chic these separates look considering it feels like I’m wearing pajamas!
