All-Black
An all-black look is slimming, easy to put together, and makes you feel good! For me, it’s like city armor. I throw on my bad-ass boots, a leather jacket… and I can tackle anything that comes my way. It’s also a go-to fall look for many stylish New York City girls! I pretty much lived in black when I lived in Manhattan. For those that don’t know, I lived in the city for more than 8 years on the Upper West Side. That’s where I met my husband, Chris. I loved every minute of living there but I was ready to leave when we moved to Texas. We still visit every year for the New York City Marathon which I ran last year. You can read about my marathon journey here. When we travel to the city, I always bring my black leather jacket! The Parisians actually have a very similar cool-girl city uniform. Bodysuit
First, I want to start with this bodysuit, it’s almost sold out so grab it fast! The bodysuit comes with its own unique bathroom challenge, but I love the way they look with high rise jeans! This bodysuit, by ASTR The Label, has a subtle velvet burn-out leopard print. It’s perfect for adding texture and dimension to an all-black look.
Leather Jacket
Over the bodysuit, I’m wearing a gorgeous Joie black leather jacket. I broke down exactly what to look for when shopping for a moto jacket here. The one I’m wearing is my go-to leather jacket. For a less expensive option, this Chelsea 28 jacket is amazing! I styled it here. This BLANKNYC jacket is another affordable option. I also love this one by Treasure & Bond.
Jeans
Next, I’m wearing some of my favorite jeans by L’Agence. They’re in a super dark wash so they’re very slimming. The denim has just enough stretch to make them crazy comfortable but still keep everything in place! They were originally $255…now they’re on sale for $101!
Booties
To really pull of a New York City girl outfit, you need a cool pair of shoes! These booties have a sexy stiletto heel and edgy studded details. Since they’re by All Saints, they’re usually pretty pricey. BUT they’re on sale for $183! It’s a steal!
Accessories
To finish off the look I added some chic Saint Laurent sunglasses, black Chanel Boy bag, and pre-layered necklace from JCPenney. The first two of these accessories are expensive but worth the investment!
