Sexy Swimsuits For Women Over 40
There’s nothing worse than trying to find a swimsuit for an upcoming trip. We usually put it off because we don’t want to go shopping and stand under fluorescent lights wearing close to nothing. That’s why I highly recommend saving yourself by ordering swimsuits online and trying them on at home. You’ll feel MUCH more comfortable! But, don’t fall into the trap of looking on Revolve or a similar website for swimwear. Just don’t. I do this pretty much every year and every year I end up sending them all back because the bottoms show half of my behind. Again, save yourself!
The swimsuits below are among my all-time favorites! Most of them are full coverage, they’re flattering, and I think you’ll feel great in them!

#1 | Becca Crochet One Piece Swimsuit
This stunner is by Becca and super flattering. I am especially fond of the strategic panel placement and waist-defining band. I shared this swimsuit here. This exact one is sold out but I linked some very similar options. This brand is perfect for women over 40 who need flattering coverage. You should size up in swimwear. I’m wearing a medium above. This suit seems to run a bit short so I needed the medium for length.

#2 | That Amazon Two-Piece Swimsuit
Remember this bikini from last year that blew up your Instagram feeds?? It’s still in stock and still only $25!! This swimsuit is the perfect combination of sweet and sexy. I love the pom pom details and sexy see-through mesh paneling! Sometimes high waist bikini bottoms can be hit or miss. But these are a HIT! The bottoms have great coverage and a band across the very top that really keeps them in place. The top is a bit skimpier, but still covers everything up! It’s also adjustable around the neck and back.
The swimsuit comes in EIGHT different patterns and colors. I have it in white and black! I linked my favorites above. The best part about the swimsuit though is the cost! Again, it’s only $25! And if you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can get it in two days!
#3 | OYE One Piece Swimsuit
You know I love some drama (with my clothes). This swimsuit is one of my favorites. It’s a white one-piece by OYE. The OYE suits are SUPER glam and very flattering. They are a little pricey, but I think they are worth the investment. This exact suit is sold out in white, but it also comes in black! #4 | Becca Printed One Piece Swimsuit
See the goosebumps ALL OVER my body in this pic above? It was around 40 degrees in Moab, Utah where I shot this. I was freezing, but the light was so beautiful I dealt with the temps. A little tip about shooting in swimsuits… shoot during the golden hour (sunset hour) and your skin will look more even and not crepey. The light is much more flattering.
I wanted to note that I’m not a huge print person. But I really love the print on this paisley one-piece! It has wide shoulder straps that add support and a wide obi belt that is SOOOO flattering! You can pull this as tight as you can stand it to really define your waist. The top also has removable cups and adjustable straps. BTW, you will thank me for this one. It’s that good. #5 | Becca Striped Two-Piece
This super cute striped bralette style top is perfect for the beach! It has a tie back so you can adjust the fit. The cool metallic stripe print gives it a modern feel. And the thicker underbust band gives it more support than normal bikini tops!
The hipster bikini bottoms have a good amount of coverage so you feel comfortable (especially in the back). I love the corset ties on the hips. It makes it a little sexier. And there are cute bead details on the ties too!
#6 | Becca Tankini Swimsuit
If bikinis aren’t your thing…a tankini is another option! This tankini, in the same print as the bikini above, offers much more coverage. It ties at the neck and back and has the same beaded detail as the matching bottoms. The v it makes in the front is very flattering and elongates your torso. It is also a looser fit so it provides forgiveness around the tummy area. This would be an awesome maternity or post-baby suit too! Wear the hipster bikini bottoms like I am or get the matching bottoms without the side-tie detail.
