Neutral Everyday Outfits
Last year I started building up my brown and neutral basics. I really love these flattering and versatile shades, but I know sometimes styling them can be tricky in these cooler months. I’ve actually really enjoyed the challenge of incorporating them into my everyday outfits this fall and winter. Not only do these colors feel fresh and new, they are also softer and more feminine…. less harsh than black and charcoal. I wanted to share two recent outfits I wore featuring neutral tones. I hope these will spark some styling ideas with pieces you have in your very own closet.

JACKET | SWEATER | JEANS | BOOTIES | HAT
Everyday Outfit #1 | Suede Moto Jacket
This first look is something I’d wear out running errands or even something slightly dressier like going out to lunch or dinner. You might remember this sweater from my top 5 sweaters from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale post here. It’s by Vince and SO gorgeous. I love turtlenecks and this one is great because the neck actually stays up! No tugging, or folding required. The cable knit gives the sweater an interesting texture and dimension. It’s warm but still thin enough to layer under jackets. This Next Level suede moto jacket is by Blank NYC, super stylish, chic, and the perfect neutral color! I’m giving one away in my 12 Days of Giveaways here. (Find all of the giveaways here.)
These jeans are among my favorites by Rag & Bone. I wear them ALL the time and they’ll actually be in my year-end favorites video coming at the end of December. (You can find all my videos here.) I’ve featured the booties I’m wearing and five other ways to style them in this video. They’re super comfortable and versatile. My hat is by Rag & Bone and I’ve worn it a lot more than I expected! I shared how to wear hats without looking like you’re trying too hard here.
SWEATER | JEANS | BOOTS | SUNGLASSES
Everyday Outfit #2 | Sexy Camel Sweater
This second look is something I’d also wear for anything from picking kids up at school to going to the grocery store… as well as dressier outings like lunch with friends and dinner with the family. You could easily add a third layer to stay warm. I’m wearing a camel one shoulder criss-cross sweater by Line & Dot. This sweater is sold out in most sizes but you could pick any sweater from this brand and be happy! They’re all super cute and very affordable!
I paired the sweater with white jeans and my favorite brown boots by Vince Camuto. I shared more details about them here and here.
