Summer Dresses For Days…
Do you ever get a little tired of your daily, everyday style during the summer? I know that I do. So I like to incorporate fun pieces into my wardrobe to mix it up. The easiest way to do that is with a new dress! Dresses are also SO easy… one and done. You don’t have to think about what to pair with it, you just throw it on with a pair of shoes and an accessory and that’s it! I got a few standout dresses for our recent trip to Mexico that I’ll definitely be wearing all summer. Keep scrolling to see what I picked.

#1) Tan Midi Dress
I wore this dress on our recent family trip to Mexico. It’s a gorgeous tan midi dress by Cleobella. This dress has a tiered skirt, buttons down the top half, and short puff sleeves. The longer hemline and sleeves give you more coverage, which is really nice, but the dress is still very lightweight and comfortable. I styled it with wedges but you could also wear it with sneakers for a more casual look. You could wear this on vacation, to a wedding, dressed down to run errands, etc.
#2) Green Mini Dress
Adding a pop of color during the summer is a must. And this dress by Rhode is a beautiful option. This color is selling out fast so if you see your size, grab it! This dress has a lot of material but I love that the white lace trim is strategically placed to help create the illusion of more shape in the dress. It’s also 100% cotton so it’s super lightweight and will keep you cool. It has a removable braided belt to help create a waist, wide sleeves, godet hem, and a v-neckline. It also comes in pink, which I love! I wore this in Mexico to breakfast, then on out bike rides to the beach over my swimsuit. I felt so cute and comfy in it and got lots of beachside complements.
#3) Trench Mini Dress
This Self Portrait dress is business in the front and party in the back. It’s a trench style dress in the front that’s so chic. And the back has a small cutout opening giving it a sexy twist. The smocking around the tummy is really flattering and I love the flared hemline. It’s the perfect mix of masculine and feminine!
#4) Black Midi Dress
This black dress by Free People is another effortless, chic, everyday dress. I’ve had it for a few years so sizing is limited, but it comes in multiple colors including white! It’s such a great length for those of us that want more coverage and yet, it’s still incredibly cool and lightweight. The thick waistband hits a little above the natural waist, making it quite flattering. You can dress this up or down…depending on your shoes. I definitely think you can also wear this to the office (if you’re going in)! Just be sure to iron or steam it. I shot this look in Moab a few years ago and all of the clothes were in the back of my car.
You know how much I love to mix brown and black, so I added my Chloe Tess handbag to finish off the look. You can find Chloe handbag dupes in this post. For more tips on mixing black and brown, make sure you check out this post.
#5) Faux Leather Mini Dress
This faux leather dress by Nanushka is a dressier, everyday option. You can wear it to a lunch date and/or transition it to nighttime with a few different accessories. This exact color is sold out (found it pre-owned here) but I linked the white version. The color is so unique and perfect for spring but it also comes in black and brown. You could wear this dress with heels like I am above. Or throw on some sandals or sneakers to dress it down.

What bra did you wear with the black fp dresS?
It’s a bit low, so I paired it with a cami and just wear a regular bra. I think a black cami or matching cami is the way to go
I love your blog and youtube CHANNEL so much! You are my absolute FAVORITE!! Please do not apologize for not ironing. IT’s fine! Some fabrics look better with wrinkles. Can you tell that I too am ALLERGIC to IRONING? Perfectly ironed clothes are a sign of a misspent life. Thank you so much for all of your thOughtful and CREATIVE ideas. You get better every year.
Thanks, Toni! You are the exception. I can’t tell you how many notes I get about ironing the clothes.
