Tackling any make-over or home edit can be daunting, but when you focus on one room at a time with a well-devised plan, the project will be easy and enjoyable. Even small changes make a large impact! Let’s restyle the smallest room in your house – your powder room. You can update your powder room with these 4 easy changes. Try 1 or all 4 and you’ll be impressed with your talented self. Let’s get started.

1) Mirror Mirror On The Wall
First, start by getting rid of that framed, builder-grade mirror that just screams “boring”. A large round mirror above your vanity will look updated and fresh. I love this vintage-inspired mirror and it’s available in various finishes. The quality of this Target mirror is excellent and this one is too. For round mirrors, purchase the largest size you can to fit on your wall. You can also paint the frame of the mirror you already have with white, black, or metallic paint if the look of yours is dated.
2) Hardware Updates
If you are looking to upgrade those brushed-nickel cabinet knobs (yup, I have them too), try finding some visually appealing drawer pulls or knobs. You’ll likely only need 2-4 for a small bathroom. Brass or black hardware looks chic and updated. For modern/industrial hardware vibe, these would look amazing. If you prefer more traditional or artistic knobs or pulls, check out these options at Anthropologie. These are really pretty. Don’t forget about towel bars, hooks and rings, and toilet paper holders too. Keep your metal selection consistent, or at least complimentary!
3) Wallpaper? Oh Yes!
Peel and stick wallpaper – it’s a thing! It’s actually a rather popular trend in the interior design world right now. Try it for an impactful statement-wall to add color, texture or interest. This is far less of a commitment than wallpapering an entire living room or bedroom wall. It’s also removable so the commitment isn’t forever. You can date this wallpaper before marrying it! It even works well on textured walls. A feature wallpapered wall can replace the “painted-feature-wall” you might be tired of. Go with a bright colorful print, or something subtle to add warmth and a spa-like feel. Wayfair has a pretty amazing selection of products, and I recommend them for the widest variety and selection. I love this beautiful blue pattern and this floral in both beige and pretty pink.
4) The Details
I realize it was quite an accomplishment not too long ago to have a healthy supply of toilet paper, but it really doesn’t need to be on display! Try tucking a small, lidded basket like this one under your sink. And, don’t under-estimate the power of a new soap dispenser, pretty hand-towels, a jar for little soaps, or a vase of fresh flowers. These simple touches make an impactful change and can easily transform your space.

I love me some wallpaper, so glad it’s back!
Me too, Samantha!
This was so timely! I have the classic builder-grade powder room. I love the Wayfair wallpaper selection you suggested! That blue floral is definitely in my shopping cart. Excellent suggestion for the one room every guest will use (when we can entertain at home again!) Thanks!
