Loungewear Styled 2 Ways!
I’ve shared quite a few times over the past year what my ideal loungewear is. What I look for when I shop for loungewear outfits…
1) It needs to be SO soft and comfortable that I could sleep in it. And, ya know what, sometimes I DO!
2) I need to look chic enough to answer the door or take a Zoom call in it
3) And, I need to be able to make a few minor adjustments and be out the door in minutes!
I’m showing you how to take a loungewear look from hanging out at the house, to looking chic and sophisticated while running errands or picking up the kids. With a few minor tweaks, you can look stylish in the streets in no time!

Look #1) Hanging Out At Home
Comfy pants + easy cami + cardigan = perfect loungewear look! These wide-leg, knit palazzo pants are super comfortable, flattering, and soft. They have a drawstring waist, and the length is perfect on me while wearing flats (I’m 5’4”). They’re so chic and look super luxe, but they’re very affordable! I pair the pants with a basic cami crop top and a super soft cardigan. The cardigan has buttons in the front so you could close it up if you wanted. But I prefer to leave it open. This look is perfect for just lounging and hanging out at home. But if you’re interested in how to tweak this look if you need to run out for errands or hop on a Zoom call, keep scrolling…

Look #2) To Running Errands
To add coverage or dress it up a little for running errands, throw on a casual sweater like this ribbed off-shoulder sweater. If it’s cold where you live, throw on a coat or chic trench like the one I’m wearing. You can also add a scarf and/or pretty handbag. Just adding the sweater and a 3rd layer completely elevates the look and makes you feel more confident and stylish. I completed the look with a cool pair of Gola sneakers…I love that they have black and brown so they’re super versatile! I’ve worn them with everything from loungewear to jeans to skirts and dresses.
Look #3) Bonus Loungewear Look
Do any of you remember this look from last year? It’s a chic lounge look from Express that’s also very affordable! This sweater is casual and comfortable enough to wear as loungewear but still very chic. It has puff shoulders that give it an added style detail. It’s ribbed, super soft, and easy to tuck in. You could also wear it with jeans and booties…it’s a great, versatile sweater! (It also comes in black, camel, and a cool rust color.) Trust me when I say… you will LOVE this one!!
The exact color of these pants is sold out, but they still have them in metallic gray. Just because you are wearing sweatpants, doesn’t mean you can’t sparkle! I LOVE that these soft joggers have a pretty shine in the fabric to create a subtle metallic look. They’re high-waisted (a must-have for me) and have a drawstring waistband so they’re easy to adjust. They also have pockets! Sometimes joggers can be hard to find for petites, but these are perfect. I’m 5’4” for reference and they run true to size.

Hello Erin and Team, I LOVE your work. You took this overworked mom out of Frump City and turned her into a fashion maven. Before my divorce, I was miserable and my clothing showed it. Now that my divorce is final, my clothes show the joy of freedom that I finally feel and I feel like me again! 2 things — what about that adorable headband that Erin is wearing with the pearl accents? Next, I see the Express joggers in gray but really much prefer the color she’s wearing. Can you find anything in a tan/camel color that’s fun like that? THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for sharing, Patricia! Love that you’ve found freedom and are enjoying fashion again! The exact joggers in that color are sold out but these are similar and closer to that camel color you’re looking for: https://rstyle.me/+RxhTtuCw8Z1YiYpRH7huLQ The headband is also sold out but we love this designer’s headbands: https://rstyle.me/+x8gzTDciJl7rKFJPW5PZqw. If you’re looking for something more affordable, we also love Express headbands: https://rstyle.me/+HA6kswAdQny7DxTuBfnGYw. ~Team Busbee xo
Hello,
Have now just joined your community, I love your style.
Because most pieces are now out of stock in my sizes, do you have any suggestion recommendations for the following?
-Mango Knitted palazzo pants?
-Mango cardigan?
-Express Joggers, out of both colors?
-Spanx The Perfect Black Pant High Waist Ponte Flare Pants?
Thanks so much.
Hi Paula! Welcome to the Busbee community, so happy to have you!

These are very similar to the Mango palazzo pants: https://rstyle.me/+rXdXQFfeFahPfrfXUcBgGQ
And this cute cardigan matches: https://rstyle.me/+onksM797WuONgpPF093isg but if you’d like a longer one, this one looks similar: https://rstyle.me/+f656dwRTVgkJlff2qHq9TA

How do the Monrow pants fit? I’m a size 8 and could either get medium or large. Thanks for any advice!
