How To Wear White to Work in Winter
White is a color we typically reserve for the spring/summer months.
There was even a ‘rule’ for many years, “No white after labor day” …reinforcing our reservations.
Well, my sweet ladies, that rule is out the window.
While wearing white during the winter months can be tricky… it is also a wonderful option.
I think it is such an elegant and feminine color.
I pull out white when I literally need to lighten up.
You know we all get there in the middle of winter…
When it’s been raining, snowing, dark, damp for days, maybe even weeks!
So… in an effort to help you “Lighten Up” this winter…
I partnered with Nordstrom to show you 3 ways to wear white to work in the winter.
Keep scrolling to see the looks.
PINK BAG | WHITE PANTS | SWEATER | EARRINGS | SIMILAR SUNGLASSES
Look #1 | Wide Leg White Trousers with Pink
I absolutely love wearing white with pastel colors.
It is such a fresh and beautiful combination.
And, such a stark and welcome contrast to the gray, black and navy you typically wear on repeat.
White Pants
These pants are just stunning.
Firstly, if you have ever looked for the perfect white pants before…
You KNOW how hard they are to find. Try almost impossible.
So imagine my excitement when I found these gorgeous, wide-leg, high-waisted trousers by Milly!
The fabric… DIVINE! Thick, but not too thick.
The seam down the middle is elongating.
There are no pockets, which is actually a HUGE bonus.
Normally, with my white pants/jeans I have the tailor take the pockets out because you can see them.
The high-waist makes your legs look a mile long.
These pants run large. I would size down one size.
Wear pumps or pointed toe flats under these pants.
Cashmere Sweater
If you are a long-time reader, you will remember this sweater.
It is one of my favorite all-time sweaters.
The v-neckline is universally flattering.
The sweater is also cashmere…and AFFORDABLE!
Two things that normally don’t exist in the same sentence.

PANTS | SWEATER | EARRINGS | PINK BAG | PUMPS (in begonia)
Look #2 | White Ankle Trousers with Pink Sweater
White Pants
These white pants ankle pants by Vince Camuto are a completely different silhouette…
And, they create a completely different look.
The ankle trousers are also elegant and luxe looking, but more tailored.
This style is easier to wear if you are petite. They also come in petite sizing (no tailor needed!)
I’m wearing a 2P. These pants run large, so size down and remember petite sizes run smaller.
Sweater
I love the texture of this sweater with the ribbing at the top and sleeves.
It also has a slight balloon sleeve, which is a nice detail.
I offset the more voluminous sweater with the streamlined pants.
You always want to think about creating that style balance.

Bag
Can we talk about this bag for a minute??
Woah, it is SO gorgeous… and such an unexpected color for the office.
You will fit EVERYTHING in here, including your laptop.
And, yes there is a zip top.

TURTLENECK | WHITE TROUSERS | TOTE | EARRINGS | SIMILAR SUNGLASSES | REVERSIBLE BELT | PUMPS
Look #3 | Black and White
This is probably the most elegant of the 3 looks.
I think you would wear this look on a special office day.
Maybe you have a presentation?
Or you are meeting someone special after work…
I think this look would also look striking for a dinner party or event.
You could even add a winter white jacket to create a suit… an even dressier look!
White Pants
These white pants are so nice, I styled them twice!
I think you will be surprised how versatile they are, and how much you will love them!
Remember to size DOWN on these. I’m wearing size 2, but I will exchange for a 0.
Turtleneck
A black turtleneck is a staple that every woman should have in her closet.
I know some of you don’t like stuff around your neck, but for everyone else, it’s a must. 😉
This one is thin and perfect for layering.
It also comes in petite which would be great for times you want to tuck it in.
I finished off the look with some black accessories: black sunglasses, a tote and pumps.
