I was channel surfing last night and saw the ending of a movie called, “About Time.”
I’ve never heard of this film.
I don’t think it won any awards… or garnered critical acclaim.
But, every once in a while a movie moves you to tears.
The main character had the ability to travel back in time and have RE-DO’s with his life.
If he stumbled or made a mistake, he would simply take it back.
And then sometime between fatherhood and his father’s passing, he realizes that he doesn’t want re-dos.
He says, “I just try to live every day as if I’ve deliberately come back to this one day, to enjoy it, as if it was the full final day of my extraordinary, ordinary life.”
It’s taken me a LONG time to really enjoy and appreciate the little things.
Today…
I am grateful for my two, healthy, sweet children that are so ‘good’ – my biggest fear is screwing them up.
I’m grateful everyone in my family is relatively healthy.
I am grateful that my husband, even though he has no clue about fashion or style (seriously, the man wear t-shirts with holes), has supported my business from the start, maybe even with more fervor than I.
And.. I am grateful for all of YOU!
What is it that you are you grateful for?
In your… EXTRAORDINARY… ordinary life.
