Western Trend
The western trend and western-inspired pieces have been on-trend for the past year (at least) and I’d bet it’s here to stay! Cowboy boots, fringe, braiding, buckles, bold stitching, western shirts, bandanas, etc. are all part of the trend. You might be wondering how to wear the western trend without adopting a full-on cowboy getup. We used to live in Texas and we currently live in Colorado, so the western trend kind of comes naturally to me and feels very comfortable! I’m sharing a few chic pieces and a sophisticated way to wear the western trend below…

How To Wear The Western Trend
I know I often suggest only incorporating one small piece into an outfit if you’re trying out a trend. But for this look, I went all in on the western pieces because 1) I love the trend, and 2) all of these pieces just worked so beautifully together!
First, I want to talk about this gorgeous ba&sh dress. While it’s not western-inspired, everything I styled it with is…but we’ll get to that in a minute! This dress has a beautiful, subtle floral print with pretty pops of purple. The ruffle neck and smocked cuffs add more femininity. And I love the longer sleeves and hemline…perfect for spring in Colorado! It’s lightweight and breathable for anyone who lives in warmer climates as well. Now, on to the fun western-inspired accessories…
Chic Belt
I styled the dress with this chic western-inspired ba&sh belt! The leather is super high-quality and the details on the buckle are just beautiful. I love how it looks with this dress but I’ve also already worn it with jeans and a skirt so I know it’s going to be really versatile!

Cool Bag
My bag is also by ba&sh and a rendition of one of their most popular bags, the Teddy bag. This version has an embellished buckle to glam it up, braiding along the top for that western twist, and an adjustable strap so you can wear it on your shoulder or as a crossbody. I also really love the size…it’s not too big and it’s not too small, it’s just right!

Killer Boots
To finish off my western look, I’m wearing my Isabel Marant boots. You may remember these from last fall…they’re serious showstoppers. And they’re way more versatile than you think! They have beautiful silver detailing on the pointed toe and the back, a cool cone heel, and they’re easy to walk in.
Western-Inspired Look with Jeans
I wanted to share a second way to style all of these gorgeous western-inspired accessories just in case you don’t like wearing dresses. This is a more traditional “western” look mostly because I paired the accessories with denim. But it’s still very sophisticated and chic! I’m wearing a gorgeous white vegan leather puff shoulder top by Alice + Olivia and my favorite Moussy Vintage jeans tucked into the same Isabel Marant boots. The top gives the look a more modern touch. The exact pair of jeans I’m wearing is sold out, but I linked a similar pair that doesn’t have any rips since I know many of you prefer your jeans without distressing!
Which if these looks is your favorite? Would you rather pair your western accessories with something more feminine (like look #1) or go all in on the western vibe (like look #2)?? Let me know in the comments below!
