Where are you up-leveling your life? Even if you’re not looking for a major transformation, you can benefit from introspection and self-reflection too. Continually working to become the best version of yourself means you’re always moving forward. In other words, you’re challenging yourself and staying nimble in mind and spirit.

Of course, there are a lot of options for where you can choose to focus your self-development. Consequently, there are many great self-development books available. But, if you’re not sure where to start, we can help. We’ve come up with a list of the top books you may want to keep on your nightstand. Wondering how to answer the question, “What’s on your end-of-year reading list?” These 9 self-development books are worth a read.

The two titles that are on my “must-read” list are Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert and Mindset by Carol Dweck. I regularly struggle with getting in my own way, so I’m excited that these books are going to give me new insights and perspectives to use.
